It is important to remember that every fluid that’s used in your vehicle has an important purpose, but to work properly, must be filled. For example, there must be enough motor oil for the engine to receive the lubrication it needs. Turbocharge vehicles tent to burn more Motor Oil than other vehicles, so staying on top of your vehicle alerts and adding oil is necessary. Your vehicle needs an oil change every 5 to 10 thousand miles depending on the quality of oil and filter that is used.
The same is true with transmission fluid, which generally should be changed every 30 to 60 thousand miles. If you buy a used vehicle that never received a transmission service or if you are passed the recommended miles to service your transmission, please consult a professional before doing so as you might damage your transmission.
The brake fluid should not be forgotten; your vehicle needs a Brake Fluid change every Two years. The brake Fluid absorbs moisture on your brake system, which is especially important in Florida, failure to change your brake fluid could result in damage to your ABS unit and cause brake system failure.
